  Biscuit tin for "Hollandsche Harinkjes"
description: The lid of handmade tin from about 1905 shows a picture of the arrival of a herring fleet at the Nordsea coast. A fishing boat is on the beach and a fishers wife is waiting on 'her' barge with herring. On the background there is a village. On the front and backside of this tin the firmante and an indication of the content of the tin. On the two other sides there is an image of a baker with a biscuit tin in his hand. The decoration on the tin is pre Art Nouveau (floral).
